An Immigration Law Website Built Around Experience and Clear Guidance

The Law Office of Alice Segal, PLLC needed a focused website for a New York immigration practice led by a former Immigration Judge. I built the site to introduce her background carefully, explain support for noncitizens and attorneys, and provide a direct path to make an inquiry.

Presenting a Specialist Legal Practice With Clarity

Alice Segal spent more than fifteen years presiding over removal and deportation proceedings at the New York City Immigration Court, and earlier served as a New York State Administrative Law Judge. Her practice now covers representation before USCIS and the immigration courts, immigration briefs and motions, and mentoring for other immigration attorneys.

That mix created an unusual audience. Some visitors are individuals facing an immigration matter, while others are lawyers looking for case advice or a mentor. The website needed a calm, credible tone, a clear explanation of each service, and a simple way to request a consultation without overwhelming anyone.

A Focused Structure for Immigration and Administrative Law

I planned the site around three groups of readers and built it in WordPress as part of my website design work for professional practices. Practice advisories and insights can be published by the office as new developments come up.

Credibility-Led Design

A restrained, professional layout puts Alice Segal's judicial background at the center, which is the main reason clients and attorneys reach out to the office.

Practice Area Search Terms

Headings and page titles use the language people search with, such as immigration court representation and immigration briefs in New York, written naturally rather than repeated.

Clear Practice Area Pages

Representation, briefs and motions, and attorney mentoring are each explained on their own, so a noncitizen and a practising lawyer can both find their route quickly.

Consultation Requests

Contact prompts invite visitors to discuss representation, mentoring, case advising or a speaking engagement, with the office email always one click away.

From Legal Content Review to a Responsive WordPress Build

01

Background Review

I worked through Alice Segal's career history and services to decide which details mattered most to clients and which to attorneys.

02

Information Architecture

The navigation was kept short: About, Practice Areas, Insights and Resources, Practice Advisories and Contact.

03

Tone and Layout

Typography and spacing were chosen to feel measured and trustworthy, avoiding the hard-sell style common on legal websites.

04

WordPress Development

The site was built in WordPress so the office can publish practice advisories and insights without needing a developer.

05

Review and Launch

Every page was proofread for accuracy, contact links were tested and page titles were set before the site went live.

These screens show the restrained visual direction, attorney profile content and inquiry path across desktop and mobile layouts.

A Direct, Credible Home for a Specialist Practice

The Law Office of Alice Segal now has a website that explains her experience as a former Immigration Judge and sets out each service for clients and attorneys alike. Visitors can move from reading about a practice area to requesting a consultation in a few steps.

The finished page keeps the legal content central and avoids unsupported promises, while the wider website portfolio shows how the same clarity is applied in other professional sectors.
