My Contributions to WordPress
I build WordPress websites for a living, but WordPress is more to me than a tool for client work. Since September 2019 I have contributed to WordPress Core, translated WordPress into Sindhi, organized WordPress Meetups in Ghotki and helped at WordCamps across Pakistan. This page brings that work together in one place.

- Where I Contribute
How I Have Contributed to the WordPress Project
The badges are a record. The work behind them looks like this.
WordPress Core
I have been credited as a contributor in six WordPress releases, from 5.4 in 2020 to 6.5. My profile also lists Core Performance and Core AI contributor badges.
Translation into Sindhi
Translating WordPress into Sindhi, my native language, was one of my earliest contributions. I hold Translation Contributor and Translation Editor badges for that work.
Meetups and WordCamps
I organize WordPress Meetups in Ghotki and have organized, spoken at and volunteered for WordCamps, which is recorded on my profile.
Themes and Plugins
My profile carries Theme Developer and Plugin Developer badges, a Themes Team badge from 2020 and a Pattern Author badge for the block pattern directory.
Accessibility and Testing
I have contributed to the Accessibility team and to testing, two areas that help WordPress work properly for more people before each release ships.
Support and Training
Answering support questions and contributing to the Training team are part of giving back the help I received when I started with WordPress.

My WordCamp Asia Contributor Story
In January 2023, WordCamp Asia published my story in its Contributor Stories series under the title “The WordPress Community is like a family to me”. It covers how I found WordPress through a mentor, how attending WordCamp Karachi set my direction, and why I translated WordPress into Sindhi with other members of the community.
For me, the story is a reminder that the most important part of WordPress is the people who build it together.
- Community Recognition
Recognized Twice Through the Yoast Care Fund
The Yoast Care Fund is a community program run by Yoast that recognizes people who contribute to WordPress and open source. I have been featured as a recipient twice, both times after a nomination from someone in the community.
Care Fund Recipient
June 2020
My first nomination came from Muhammad Kashif, the mentor who introduced me to WordPress. Yoast’s write-up mentions my Core contributions, organizing the WordPress Meetup in Ghotki and translating WordPress into Sindhi.
Care Fund Recipient
September 2024
The second feature covers contributions across many WordPress teams, including Core and accessibility, leading the Ghotki meetups, and acting as a table lead at WordCamp Lahore 2023 and WordCamp Islamabad 2023.
Being featured is recognition of community work. It is not a partnership with Yoast or an endorsement of my client services.
- Community and Events
The People Side of Open Source
I chose WordPress as a career after attending WordCamp Karachi, and the community has been central to my work ever since. Organizing WordPress Meetups in Ghotki gave people in and around the town a regular place to meet and learn WordPress together.
At WordCamp Lahore 2023 and WordCamp Islamabad 2023 I led contributor tables, showing new contributors how to translate WordPress into local languages. I have also spoken about building communities and contributing to open source. If you want to know more about me outside WordPress, my about page has the rest of the story.
Events and Roles
- Lead organizer, WordPress Meetup Ghotki
- Contributor table lead, WordCamp Lahore 2023
- Contributor table lead, WordCamp Islamabad 2023
- WordCamp Speaker badge, 2023
- WordCamp Organizer and Volunteer badges, 2025
- From Contributor to Client Work
How This Connects to the Websites I Build
Contributing to WordPress means I have read the release notes, tested changes before they ship and seen how decisions are made inside the project. I bring that familiarity to client work, whether it is designing a new WordPress website, carrying out a WordPress redesign, improving WordPress SEO or handling ongoing maintenance.
Most of my clients are contractors and service businesses. You can see the industries I work with or browse recent client websites.

Need Help With a WordPress Project?
I help contractors and service businesses with WordPress websites, redesigns, SEO and ongoing maintenance. If you have a project in mind, I would be glad to hear about it.
