A Supportive Living Website for Families and Regional Centers

Living Forward SLS helps adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities live safely and independently in their own homes in Davis, California. I built the website to explain the service model clearly to families and Regional Centers and provide a respectful route to make contact.

Explaining Supportive Living to Two Important Audiences

Supported living is a service many families have never had to research before. Parents, siblings and Regional Center coordinators arrive with specific questions: what daily help looks like, how independence is encouraged, how support lines up with a person’s Individual Program Plan, and who to contact to begin.

Living Forward SLS needed a site that answered those questions with empathy and structure. Eight service areas, from independent living skills and community integration to budgeting, transportation training, advocacy and housing support, had to be easy to find and easy to understand. Accessibility mattered as much as appearance, which is a recurring theme in my work on websites for care and support providers.

Mission, Services and Contact Information With Careful Language

The work covered site structure, service content, accessible design choices and clear contact sections. Like the BP Home Healthcare project, the tone had to reassure first and ask for contact second.

Accessible Page Structure

Clear headings, strong contrast and a predictable layout help every visitor move through the site, including people using assistive technology or reading on a small screen.

Search Setup for SLS Queries

On-page SEO targets the way Californian families and coordinators search for supported living and independent living services, so the provider appears when people start looking.

One Section Per Support Area

Living skills, community integration, personal care, behavioral coaching, budgeting, transportation training, advocacy and housing support each get a focused section, written warmly and without technical language.

Direct Routes to Referral

Contact sections sit where families and Regional Center staff are most likely to act, with straightforward forms and phone details for starting a referral conversation about person centered support.

The same approach is available as a WordPress website design project for other businesses.

A Respectful, Informative Home for Supportive Living Services

Living Forward SLS now has a respectful website that explains supportive living, its independent-living purpose and the role of the provider. Families and Regional Centers can find the core information and contact the team from a clear route.

Does Your Support Service Website Explain the Mission Clearly?

I create healthcare and support service websites with clear information, considered language and accessible contact paths.

Projects outside Davis run the same way, and the areas I serve are listed in one place.
